Ballpoint needles are simply awesome when it comes to repairing knitted fabrics - these needles feature a special mini ball tip that helps you darn knitwear with minimal effort.
 
The rounded point helps you easily locate the spaces between individual knit stitches. In contrast using a sharp needle can easily damage your knitwear further by catching and splitting the yarn leading to pulled stitches.
 
Suitable for:
darning, general repairs or embroidery on knitted fabrics  e.g wool jumper or cashmere cardigan.
use with fine yarn such as laceweight, 2-ply & 4-ply.
 
Choose from five sizes:
40mm / 1.57"
48mm / 1.89"
55mm / 2.17"
76mm / 3"
100mm / 4"
 
40mm & 48mm are best for use with single ply yarns on very 
fine knitwear.
55 & 76mm are best for use with laceweight yarns on fine knitwear.
100mm is best for use with slightly thicker yarns on medium weight knitwear.
 
Inidivdual needles are supplied in a compostable glassine bag sealed with a paper sticker. 
 
Optional Extra:
If you'd like to protect your ballpoint needles from getting lost or damaged at the bottom of your sewing basket, simply add a glass test tube to your basket using the drop down menu provided. 
 
*Please be aware the ballpoint needles are not suitable for use on woven fabrics e.g. cotton, denim, linen etc.
