Long Darning Needle - x1

Long Darning Needle - x1

PriceFrom £0.85

High-quality long darning needles perfect for repairs to all sorts of woven (non-stretch) fabrics.

The longer length makes it easier to darn larger holes and create long straight lines of stitching.

These needles have an elongated eye for stitching with slightly thicker thread and a semi blunt point to avoid snags when weaving through fabric.

Suitable for:

  • darning, patching or repairs using a Speedarner/Speedweve.
  • mending all sorts of different weight fabrics.
  • hand sewing with up to 6 strands of embroidery floss or Sashiko thread (dependent on needle size).

Choose from:

  • Strong darning needle (No.2/0) - similar to a Sashiko needle which makes it suitable for repairs to medium-heavy weight woven fabrics like denim or corduroy.
  • Fine darning needle (No.1) - ideal for repairs to light - medium weight woven fabrics like a silk dress, cotton shirt or linen trousers.
